Fort Hill is a small residential neighborhood comprised of roughly 0.4 square miles. During the Revolutionary War, particularly the Siege of Boston, these same 0.4 square miles were key for the patriot army since this is where they were mainly housed. After the war, many of Fort Hill's colonial style buildings were destroyed, but, once a streetcar system was implemented, construction and development quickly improved the neighborhood.
